HKUST Institute for Emerging Market Studies provides thought leadership on the challenges facing businesses and policy makers in emerging market countries. Generously supported by EY, HKUST IEMS has around 40 Faculty Associates with research interests in emerging markets, coming from all departments of the School of Business and Management and from the Division of Social Sciences. Faculty research addresses the following themes: sustainable growth, macroeconomic policy (included international trade and finance), capital market development, business management and strategy, human capital, and inequality.
