-For this slide we need to discuss what problem we are trying to solve.
We are Pickup a tutorial search engine. You all might remember us as the group who was picking a bone with Google last week. The problem is Google, and other search engines, are great for finding content on the internet. However, they are not so great at giving users information on what they are finding. Users find what they are looking for, but are unaware of quality. We, at Pickup, find that this is especially true with tutorials, and have decided to tackle this problem.
For our MVP we needed to find a group that needs tutorials, but simultaneously does not have the luxury of wasting time determining which Google search tutorials to pursue. We also needed a group that had an idea of what they wanted, but not the specifics. That is when we found our persona, it is none other than this nerdy kid. Ian, the video game hackathon hacker. Ian is competing in a hackathon, and he is making his first video game. He has heard great things about this game engine called Unity, but he does not know how to use it. Ian needs a tutorial, but, as is typical in hackathons, he is under time durres. He only has 48 hours to make his game. He does not have time to waste on tutorials with extensive information, nor does he have time to deal with bad ones. He has at least 4 very specific needs. googles
