well-formulated plans in
almost any
discipline, however, and
each learner works with
their faculty mentor to
create an individualized
curriculum and study
program.

existing commitments to their work and families.

Because the IOU Foundation
PhD degree programs are
customized for each learner
in our program, our
candidates assume a great
deal of responsibility for
their own learning.

12. DISTANCE EDUCATION
 This also means our learners can choose a field of study
that would not be available otherwise, either because other
universities lack that degree of flexibility or because they
require a learner's physical presence on a campus which is
too far away.

13. INTERDISCIPLINARY DEGREES
Our program also allows
for inter-disciplinary
degrees, such as the
combination of
Anthropology and
Sociology, Education and
Psychology, or Political
Science and Peace Studies.

14. REQUIREMENTS
 A Masters degree from an accredited institution of higher
learning is required before learners can start their PhD
program at IOU Foundation, and applicants should also
have background skills that are appropriate for the degree
plan they expect to follow.

Once graduate transcripts are received, the
enrollment process can begin!
