Life Jacket Loaner Program: The Sea Tow Foundation will be continuing their successful life jacket loaner program that has been steadily growing over the last six years and currently includes 216 life jacket loaner stands throughout the U.S. which have provided over 22,000 life jackets to recreational boaters in free loaner programs around the country. The Sea Tow Foundation is also launching a nationwide Life Jacket Drive program to collect new and gently used life jackets from boaters that no longer need them or have outgrown them, thus extending the life of the existing Life Jacket Loaner Stands. Designated Skipper Campaign: The Sea Tow Foundation will develop, produce and implement a nationwide program to make sure that boaters know that they should always appoint a "Designated Skipper" before each boating trip. To ensure that this message reaches boaters, the Sea Tow Foundation will be developing a website to encourage boaters to "Take the Pledge" and will be putting the "Designated Skipper" messaging materials in places where boaters will see it and pay attention to it by working with a number of other RBS organizations and companies to distribute this message to their members and customers.
