Howard Perch of Ormond Beach, Florida, has been dedicated to volunteering from a very young age, always focused on giving back to his community however he can. Howard Perch was the volunteer of the year at the Special Olympics in 1988 in New Hanover County, NC. He served the homeless at the Cedar Valley Food Bank from 2007 to 2011 and volunteers at numerous organizations in Volusia County, Florida, including WITNESS, a local women’s shelter. 2. Howard Perch: Former Director of Operations
Howard Perch once served as the Director of Operations for the
Conover, North Carolina-based Pain Relief Centers, P.A. In this
role from 2001 to 2003, Perch provided adept administration,
direction and coordination of all aspects of operation, including
the leadership needed to pursue and accomplish short-, long-
term and strategic organizational objectives.

4. Howard Perch: Uniform Area Health and Safety
As Coordinator of Industrial Rehabilitation at the Catawba Valley
Medical Center (1994-2001), Howard Perch was responsible for
the development of the Uniform Area Health and Safety
Organization; a nonprofit created to help industry reduce
exposure to work-related injuries through the utilization of
continuing education seminars. Perch most recently served as
Administrator at Florida Hospital Oceanside.
5. Howard Perch: Rehab Services
Howard Perch worked as a Manager of Rehabilitation Services
for a Waterloo, Iowa-based medical center from 2003 to 2011.
Upon leaving this position, Perch became the Director of
Rehabilitation Services at Florida Hospital Oceanside; a position
he held from October of 2011 to May of 2013. He became the
Executive Director of Rehabilitation Services at Florida Hospital
Oceanside shortly thereafter.

7. Howard Perch: Batting Practice Pitcher
Between the years of 1994 and 2002, Howard Perch enjoyed the
opportunity to work in minor league baseball, particularly within
the farm system of the Chicago White Sox and the Pittsburgh
Pirates. He excelled in such positions as batting practice pitcher
and first base coach for the Single A club known as the Hickory
Crawdads.

9. Howard Perch: Food Bank Assistance
Howard Perch worked as a healthcare professional in the
community of Waterloo, Iowa between the years of 2003 and
2011. During that time, Perch not only performed the duties of
his role quite well, but devoted much of his personal time to
volunteering for a local food bank. As a volunteer, Perch cooked
and served meals to the homeless.
10. Howard Perch: Former World Record Holder
One of Howard Perch’s perhaps less-known accomplishments is
his brief tenure as word record holder. In 1984, Perch briefly held
the world record for playing in a basketball game for 104
continuous hours; a world record which was surprisingly broken
not long after Perch’s amazing feat. Perch was in high school at
the time this game took place.
