YB Holdings (Pvt) Limited is the holding company of the Yunus Brother Group, having companies in the
manufacturing and service industries. I look after legal and compliance matters pertaining to the Group
Companies including but not limited to Yunus Textile Mills Limited, Lucky Textile Mills Limited, Gadoon
Textile MillsLimited,LuckyCommodities(Pvt) Limited, LuckyKnits, YunusEnergyLimited, LuckyElectric,
ICI Pakistan Limited, Tabba Heart Institute and Aziz Tabba Foundation.
Main responsibilities:
 Assist the HOD in day to day activities of the legal and corporate affairs department;
 Liaise with relevant departments of the Group Companies to identify legal risks and devise and
ensure appropriate courses of action have been taken;
 Draft,negotiate, review andvetcontracts/agreementstominimizelegal exposure andrisktothe
Group Companies, including but not limitedto agreements for Services, Employment, Supply,
Non-disclosure and Confidentiality, Tenancy, Licensing, Transportation, Coal Purchase, Lease,
etc.;
 Providing legal opinions to Group Companies on various laws and safeguard their rights and
obligations on matters including but not limited to contract, company, land/property, labour,
rent, arbitration and shipping laws, etc.;
 Drafting and issuing of legal notices on behalf of the Group Companies in timely and efficient
manner;
 Drafting repliesto relevant governmental and other authoritieswith respect to their queries on
the legal affairs of the Group Companies;
 Drafting and vetting of legal documents such as long term/short term financing documents,
security documents (Letter of Pledge, Personal Guarantee, Letter of Hypothecation,
Sale/Conveyance Deed, Relinquishment Deed, etc.);
 Intellectual Propertyrelatedwork(Registeringof Trademarks,service mark, etc. andfollowingup
on the same.);
 DraftingConstitutional Petitions,Suitsandotherancillarypleadingsforcivil,labourandcriminal
litigation matters of the Group Companies;
 Manage litigation database of the Group Companies;
 Review progress of outstanding litigation and liaison with external lawyers;
 Reviewandgive adviceonexistingandnew lawsandregulationsaffectingthe GroupCompanies;
 Manage the administrative responsibilities of the Legal and Corporate Affairs Department.
