Friendship North/South (FNS) conducted a two-part evaluation of its partnerships in over 20 countries involving 83 participants from 13 countries. The evaluation assessed opinions on FNS and its partnerships, including funding dependence and sustainability, theme relevance, community support, results achievement, impact, responsibility balance, training benefits, challenges, and needed improvements. Key findings were that the partnerships rely on financial support to continue exchanges, themes are generally relevant but understanding varies, community awareness and political support differ, and training and capacity building and sustainability efforts need strengthening. Recommendations focus on diversifying funding, improving communication and understanding, enhancing community engagement, and clarifying FNS's strategic role.
