My role was to assist the other interns and workers and make sure that everything ran smoothly.
Before the market took place I had to help with model fittings, promote the event, and assist the
Producer in any other requests that needed to be filled. We held three fashion shows and I also
assisted in the styling for the models. Each fashion show had a different theme for the clothing
and had 7 models walk each time. Backstage we had to make sure that the hair, makeup, and the
model is ready to walk. We over 20 local designers set up a merchandise table in the mansion for
the public to see. The tables had a variety of merchandise that ranged from women’s and men’s
apparel to dog accessories and clothing.
The market is held four times a year by Fashion Denver and helps support local designers. The
market has a variety of designer boutiques, food vendors, and entertainment for everyone to
enjoy. The markets are always successful and have great support from the Denver community.
