Water is a transparent fluid which forms the world's streams,
lakes, oceans and rain, & is the major constituent of the fluids of
living things. As a chemical compound, a water molecule
contains one oxygen & two hydrogen atoms. Water covers 71%
of the Earth's surface.
The formula of water is H2O
Water can be in Solid e.g. ice, liquid & gas e.g. water vapour.
The boiling point of water is 100°C & freezing is 0°C
4. How to know water is pure or not
We can know water is pure or impure by checking its boiling &
freezing point.
If the freezing point is less than 0°C e.g. -3°C its IMPURE
If the boiling point is more than 100°C e.g. 103°C its IMPURE
If the boiling point is 100°C & freezing point is 0°C its PURE
5. Usage of water
Water is used everyday, everytime, everywhere.
Some ways water is used at homes :-
Taking bath, washing hand, flushing, washing dishes, drinking,
washing the floor.
