  1. 1. CUTTING TIES
  2. 2. Friends matter • Proverbs 27:9-10 NLT The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense. Never abandon a friend – either yours or your father's. When disaster strikes, you won't have to ask your brother for assistance. It's better to go to a neighbour than to a brother who lives far away. • Proverbs 13:20 NKJV He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.
  3. 3. Toxic relationships • Negative people • Controlling people • Tempters • 1 Corinthians 15:33 NKJV Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”
  4. 4. Negative people Proverbs 22:24-25 NLT Don’t befriend angry people or associate with hot-tempered people, or you will learn to be like them and endanger your soul. • Amplifiers • Black vortex Easy to get rid of!
  5. 5. Controlling people Proverbs 26:24-25 NLT People may cover their hatred with pleasant words, but they're deceiving you. They pretend to be kind, but don't believe them. Their hearts are full of many evils. • Shamelessly have to have their way Rise above and establish boundaries
  6. 6. Tempters Proverbs 6:27 NLT Can a man scoop a flame into his lap and not have his clothes catch on fire? • Don’t respect your boundaries • Always crossing the line Be upfront and take responsibility. Forgive and learn!
