Bauer Media is the largest privately owned publisher in Europe with over 6,400
employees. It has more than 570 magazines, 300 digital products and 50 radio and TV

Bauer first launched in the UK with the magazine ‘Bella’ in 1987. They then expanded
with the by buying ‘Emap Consumer Media’ and ‘Emap Radio’ in 2008.

5. EMAP
Emap stands for 'East Midland Allied Press'
EMAP is a British media company, they specialize in the
production of business-to-business magazines. They also
organise business events and conferences.
In January 2008, Emap sold its radio, television
and consumer media businesses to the German
company Bauer for £1.14 billion.
6. For my music magazine i have
chosen to use Bauer as my publisher
This is because they are Europe's leading and
largest publishing company and have a range
or platforms available.
Another reason is that they currently own
many well know music magazines which are
very successful, These include 'Q', 'Mojo' and
'Kerrang'.
