• Negotiated and resolved numerous disputes with landlords and real estate agents that may
result out of occupation of a business of retail premises.

Successfully appealed the Tribunal’s grant of extension of time to the lessor
under section 32A(2) of the Retail Leases Act 1994 (NSW).
• 2009 Administrative Decisions Tribunal of NSW
Several applications under section 31(1A) of the Retail Leases Act 1994(NSW).
• 2010 Lands and Environment Court of NSW
Unsuccessfully challenged local council development consent to a competitor
in class 4 proceedings while retaining counsel.
• 2011 Local Court of NSW
Successfully as self represented party defended a $60,000 claim in Customers
Operations Pty Ltd ACN 112 325 934 v City Convenience Leasing Pty Ltd
ACN 085 152 978 and Haney Soltan [2011] NSWLC.

Successfully represented the Applicant in Fathullah v Varma [2012]
NSWADT 237 achieving a judgement for $9,656.38.
• 2013 Administrative Decisions Tribunal of NSW
Successfully resisted a want of jurisdiction dismissal application with costs
order in Brashes Convenience Store Pty Ltd v Pitt & Castlereagh Pty
Ltd [2013] NSWADT 118.
• 2013 Administrative Decisions Tribunal of NSW
Successfully utilised proceedings before the Tribunal to resolve disputes on
commercial terms favourable to clients.
• 2014 Civil and Administrative Tribunal of NSW
Successfully obtained costs order on indemnity basis against a lessor who
failed to refund the rental bond in Yasser Al-ahmad v Ternleigh Pty Ltd [2014]
NSWCATCD (COM 14/01393).

Successfully represented the Appellant in Fathullah v Varma [2013]
NSWADTAP 39 in two joint appeals incrasing the first instace judgement to
$41,233.40 including costs order.
• 2013 Appeal Panel of the Administrative Decisions Tribunal of NSW
Successfully persuaded the Appeal Panel to rehear the matter de novo but
ultimately was unsuccessful in 73 Union St Retail Pty Ltd v J & S Group Pty
Ltd (RLD) [2013] NSWADTAP 32.
• 2014 Appeal Panel of the NSW Civil and Administrative Decisions Tribunal
Unsuccessfully represented the Appellant in City Convenience Leasing Pty Ltd
v Boo [2014] NSWCATAP 12.
• 2014 Appeal Panel of the NSW Civil and Administrative Decisions Tribunal
Represented the Appellant in an interlocutory hearing in 203 Castlereagh St
