When advertising my product “Red Eye” it would not seem acceptable to present the
repetitive image of a common sex or race of person. There for I feel it is proper and right for
me to present a range of different races and sex’s using the product. For example in my
Advertisement I would have a picture of a white girl and a south-east Asian boy using the
product to have a range of people from different genders and places. My product could be
called racist or sexist if I did not present a range of different people, for some products
however that are aimed at certain genders it is acceptable to advertise the product to a
certain area of person, for example a hair product aimed at women, or an aftershave
product aimed at men.
This advert for Yorkie openly
insults women. The tag line
for the product is “not for
girls”. Meaning this product
may have potentially lost a
huge selection of people
who will not buy the
product. I have made sure
my product and advert
contain no element so
racism or gender
discrimination so it
maintains a wide Audience.
