Madhvacharya was an influential Indian philosopher who lived from 1238-1317 CE. He was the chief proponent of Tattvavāda philosophy and believed in dualism. According to tradition, Madhvacharya was considered the third incarnation of Vayu, the Hindu god of wind, with the first two incarnations being Hanuman and Bhima. Madhvacharya emphasized the supremacy of Vishnu over all other gods.
