Floating Mongoose - Equipment list

1. Equipment Description
Lighting (LED Panels) The school will provide LEDPanels.Ourteamneedto
borrow themfor the productionstagesof our shortfilm.
We will require 3lightsinordertoachieve 3 point
lighting.These will be usedthroughoutourfilminthe
situationthatnatural lightingisinappropriate forthe
scenes.The equipmentwill be requiredfor
approximatelyaweek’sspanof production.Since the
school isprovidingthe equipment,there will be nocost
added.
Reflectors The school will alsoprovide reflectors.Reflectorsmay
be usedinorder to have an additional improvised
source of light.The likelihoodof thisequipmentbeing
useditslimalthough1 will be takenjustincase for
situationswhere reflectorsseemsuitable.Thiswill be
borrowedthe same time asthe lightingequipment,
duringproduction.Againthe school will provideso
there is no cost.
Camera (DSLR) Our teamhave a couple multiple DSLR’s inour
possession.Thisisbeneficialaswe are already
comfortable withourpersonal equipmentinorderto
shootthe film.Althoughourschool alsohave multiple
camerasavailable foruse inthe case of an emergency,
these howeverneedtobe bookedbeforehand.We will
needitthroughoutproduction,whichmaylastfora
weekor2 at max.
Editing Software (Final
Cut Pro
X)
Final cut pro isan editing software thatwe are most
comfortable using,we are familiarwiththe elements
and tools providedbythem.Ipersonallyhave purchased
thissoftware soit isavailable foruse.Once production
isfullyfilmed,Final CutProwill be usedin
postproduction tobringthe elementsof audioandvideo
inan editto create our final versionof the shortfilm.
Tripod The tripodwouldbe usedforshots thatdo not require
handheld.The framesof the sceneswouldbe steady
and still,the handle ontripodcanalsobe usedfor
camera movementslike tiltingandpanning.Ourteam
have personal DSLRtripodsalthoughthe school can also
provide one aslongas it isbooked.Itwill be needed
throughoutproductionspecificallyforscenesthat
containmore dialogue.

2. Microphones
(Directional, wireless lav)
Audiowill be recordedthroughthesevarious
microphonesdependingonthe scenes.We will be using
the microphonesprovidedtousby the school.These
will be done inorderto recorddialogue orsound
effects, althoughdependingonthe quality,sound
maybe recordedduringpostproductionaswell.It
maybe neededforamaximumof 3 weeks.There will be
no cost added.
Drone A drone isa possible assetthatcan be usedto get
differentshots.More specificallyestablishingshots.It
will be onlyusedforoutdoorscenes todisplaythe scale
of location/setting.The school have variousdronesfor
use althoughwe needtoconfirm whetherthe drones
can shootat a highqualityinorderto match the DSLR
standard. Analternative wouldbe toborrow a drone
frompeople we know aslongas we are careful withit.
