Surrey’s Innovation Boulevard is the
overarching Ecosystem supporting a fusion
of innovation and technology now creating
solutions for the future and an overly burdened
health care system. Within that ecosystem,
the Lark Group has designed the Health &
Technology DISTRICT, immediately adjacent
to Surrey Memorial Hospital and an ever
expanding campus of health sciences.
The first of eight buildings within the Health
& Technology DISTRICT, City Centre 1 is
already home to over 90 medical professionals
and specialists, numerous start-up innova-
tion and technology companies and a rapidly
growing network of new partners, including
Universities and large multinational health
organizations, in addition to some of the most
advanced digital health, technology and com-
mercialization companies.
The overall DISTRICT was designed and
constructed with infinite imagination, vision,
and purposefully modeled after world leading
innovation centres.
City Centre One (CC 1) was developed by
Lark Group in partnership with Dayhu Group
of Companies. Executing quality project
delivery and leading-industry design-build, the
$75-million, 12-storey LEED® Gold designed
office tower has already proven that the co-
location of innovative thought leaders has
designed an environment that enables creative
collaboration and new advances in health care,
digital health and advanced technologies.
Lark is just about to begin construction on City
Centre 2 & 3, with an additional 300K square
feet of mixed use office, retail and clinical –
surgical space, to accommodate the imminent
growth and success of the DISTRICT.
Innovation Boulevard has already become
recognized as an international health and
technology incubator, attracting companies
designing medical devices, independent living
technologies and digital health solutions,
and Lark Group has designed the Health &
Technology DISTRICT to accommodate all
new growth with all of the requisite amenities
and adjacencies to promote continued growth
& success.
With astonishing creativity, the team at
Lark have also established a unique concierge
service within City Centre 1, known as the
Health Tech Innovation HUB.
The focus of the HUB is to support the
companies who locate within the Health &
Technology DISTRICT, and assisting them
to connect with the necessary partners and
networks within Innovation Boulevard and
beyond, including development of capital and
venture funding sources and regulatory as well
as commercialization partnerships, opening up
local, national and international markets.
The shared vision for Innovation Boulevard
and the Health & Technology DISTRICT is to
achieve impactful and disruptive results in four
key areas: improve health outcomes; implement
intelligent solutions for the health-care system;
attract talented clinicians and researchers; and
grow the local economy in health-care related
technologies and services sectors.
