Intended Purpose
The Warmilu IncuBlanket™ is intended for the thermoregulation of infants to prevent and reduce hypothermia for 6
or more hours. The World Health Organization suggests different temperature values to assess the degree of
hypothermia in infants:
• Cold stress or mild hypothermia: 36.0 C to 36.4 C (96.8 F - 97.5 F)
• Moderate hypothermia: 32.0 C to 35.9 C (89.6 F to 96.6 F)
• Severe hypothermia: <32 C (89.6 F)
Upon receiving the Warmilu IncuBlanket™, please check to make sure you have received its two components
including the 1) Warmilu warming pack and 2) the Warmilu infant warming blanket.

Instructions for Use
1. To Initiate the Pack
When shipped, packs are charged. During shipping and handling
though packs may have undergone phase change. Check if there
is clear solution in the bag. If yes, proceed to step 2. If not, boil
pack for 20 minutes and cool to room temperature (sticker
will be a black color) prior to use.
2. Lay the pack down. To initiate heat release, press down with
both thumbs on the metal disk a few times to activate the
phase change and generate heat. Liquid in pack will begin
turning into a solid. You will feel warmth in seconds.

7. Tie the infant warming blanket wings together tightly. The
blanket may now be used for thermoregulation for 6 hours or
more. Monitor the infant’s core body temperature. You may
monitor using the Maternova Thermo Spot Sticker (2 stickers
included). Place on the great vessels of the neck, deep in the
armpit, or on the right side of the upper abdomen above the
liver. Clean infant site beforehand with the sanitizer spray or
wipe. Infant temperature is good and thermoregulation is
occurring when sticker is red. (For more Maternova
Thermo Spot Sticker instructions, see page 7.)
1. To Recharge the Pack
Now that it has generated warmth for 6 hours or more, you
must take it out of the back pocket. Roll it in half or thirds in order
to fit into your pot of water.
2. Place the rolled up warming pack into a pot of water over a
stove or open fire. Make sure activator disk is near the top of
the pot.
