Behind the Lens Engineering Update Version
WELCOME
Q-SEE TEAM MEMBERS:
As most of you know we are striving for
new and better things to make our compa-
ny great. One is with the Company Internal
Newsletter. Well Q-Behind the Lens is help-
ing in getting the Engineering Update up-to-
date.
We going to be adding a little more of visual
interaction for those of you that need that
visual stimulation.
Q-Behind the Lens hopes you will enjoy it
and let us know how we can improve.

COMING SOON:
Some of us in both Support and Engineering are working to Ar-
chive all the answers in the KnowledgeBase. This is to see if
there is some need to update the answers or just designate them
for specific models. Please note some answers will change or be
split into two or combined into one.
This is due to change of GUI (Menus) of the DVRs, app updates,
multiple answers, or technology. Since this is a big undertaking
and there is more than 1500 plus answers that are live, please
bear with us and thank you for your patience.
You also maybe seeing a change in some of our answers.
Suggestions are welcome.
Knowledgebase Upkeep
Q-See is coming up with more innovate ideas with selling our prod-
uct. We are gaining more focus with the plementation of the Q-See
product in Europe. This means our support partner, Dutec, will have
more work cut out for them. We will be putting in QT Series Analog
HD systems.

Current Issues and Recommendations:
FIRMWARE:
The Support Management, RMA
and Production teams will be getting
weekly updates stating new firm-
ware for DVR/NVR/IP cameras.
This is so that our production line
and RMA teams are up-to-date on
the latest firmware for any of our
DVR/NVR/IP cameras. Please note
that some weeks we will not have
any new firmware produced.
Team
As you all know we are having issues with the QC8116B. This unit’s first
issue was with a confict in the firmware causing the Hard drive to not
work then NVR to reboot.
After an earlier update to resolve that issue another came up with the the
1-9 camera view on the monitor. The 9th view showed as a 8 channel
system would do with that window showing data rates instead of the 9th
camera.
It has been a bit of time but with Freddy and our Executive team pushing
the writers of the firmware, we were able to get the corrected version of
firmware for this model. As well as for the QC858 and QC838B.
Along with both fixes the firmware adds Smart App and Email Notification
schedule. Smart app will seek out any IP camera that is on the same net-
work as the NVR. Email Notification Schedule is for setting that sched-
ule for email notification on when you want the system to start and stop
emailing.
The answer number on our support site, for this firmware is 2458.

QC VIEW and iPhones 6
The following are still outstanding issue with the app:
- When adding a device the change a password comes up. The cancel button is missing where the customer is not able to
get out of the screen without creating a new password. This in effect causes a phone call for a password reset.
Freddy has assured me that QC will have it removed in the next QC View update.

SCAN N VIEW
It seems that there is some confusion
with what models in both series have
Scan N View. Below, are the official list
of the models for both series that can
use the Scan N View feature:
The models mentioned will work with this fea-
ture.
For information on how to set it up there are a
couple of links that you and your customer will
