The population of Mucuchíes
located in Mérida state, 48
kilometers from the capital of
Merida, between the hills of Santo
Domingo and the Culata, owes its
name to the Mucuchí Indians who
inhabited those lands, which were
dedicated to agriculture and veneration of Their gods thus maintaining a harmony
with mother nature. Today agriculture is one of the main economic activities of this
population.
Mucuchíes, capital of the municipality Rangel, has a height that exceeds 2800
meters above sea level, which is why we advise you, as you walk through its streets

The Plaza “Las Heroínas”, Cultural
Heritage of the state of Mérida, is located
in front of the cable car of Merida, is one

the memory of the hundreds of Andean
