Johann Sebastian Bach
Johann Sebastian Bach (* 21. März / 31. März 1685 in Eisenach; † 28.
Juli 1750 in Leipzig) war ein deutscher Komponist, Kantor sowie Orgel-
und Cembalovirtuose des Barocks. In seiner Hauptschaffensperiode war
er Thomaskantor zu Leipzig. Er ist der prominenteste Vertreter der Musikerfamilie
Bach und gilt heute als einer der bekanntesten und bedeutendsten Musiker
überhaupt. Insbesondere von Berufsmusikern wird er oft als der größte Komponist
der Musikgeschichte angesehen.
Johann Sebastian Bach[a] (31 March 1685 – 28 July 1750) was a German composer
and musician of the Baroque period. He is known for instrumental compositions such
as the Brandenburg Concertos and the Goldberg Variations, and vocal music such
as the St Matthew Passion and the Mass in B minor. Since the 19th-century Bach
Revival he has been generally regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time.[

2. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart, wie er mit richtigem Namen
hieß, war einer der bedeutendsten und weltweit berühmtesten
klassischen Komponisten der Wiener Klassik, der seit Kinderjahren über 600 Werke
wie die Opern „Don Giovanni“ (1787) und „Die Zauberflöte“ (1791), die Klaviersonate
Nr. 11 mit dem „Türkischen Marsch“ (1784) und „Eine kleine Nachtmusik“ (1787)
schuf. Er wurde am 27. Januar 1756 in Salzburg in Österreich geboren und starb
am 5. Dezember 1791 in Wien.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart 27 January 1756 – 5 December 1791), baptised
as Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart, was a prolific and
influential composer of the classical era.
Born in Salzburg, he showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood. Already
competent on keyboard and violin, he composed from the age of five and performed
before European royalty. During his final years in Vienna, he composed many of his
best-known symphonies (40, 1788), concertos, and operas (Don Giovanni 1787, The
Magic Flute 1791) and portions of the Requiem, which was largely unfinished at the
time of his early death.

3. Clara Schumann
Clara Josephine Schumann (geborene Wieck) wurde am 13. September 1819 in
Leipzig geboren und starb am 20. Mai 1896 in Frankfurt am Main. Sie war eine
deutsche Pianistin und Komponistin und ab 1840 die Ehefrau von Robert Schumann.
Das Ehepaar hatte 8 Kinder.
Clara erhielt schon im Alter von fünf Jahren von ihrem Vater intensiven
Klavierunterricht. Am 20. Oktober 1828 trat sie zum ersten Mal öffentlich
im Gewandhaus in Leipzig auf . Bald galt sie als Wunderkind. Auch als Erwachsene
war sie eine berühmte Pianistin, die in ganz Europa gefeiert und mit Ehrungen
bedacht wurde. Obwohl es zu ihren Lebzeiten ganz ungewöhnlich war, dass eine
Frau auch Komponistin war, komponierte sie seit 1841 viele Klavierstücke und Lieder
mit Klavierbegleitung.

Ludwig van Beethoven
Ludwig van Beethoven war ein deutscher Komponist und Pianist der Wiener Klassik,
der zu den bedeutendsten und einflussreichsten Komponisten aller Zeiten gezählt
wird und dessen Sinfonien Nr. 5 und Nr. 9 zu den weltweit populärsten Musikstücken
zählen (daneben u. a. Oper „Fidelio“ 1805, Klavierstück „Für Elise“ 1810). Er wurde
vermutlich am 16. Dezember 1770 in Bonn im Heiligen Römischen Reich
(heute Deutschland) geboren und starb am 26. März 1827 in Wien.
Ludwig van Beethoven baptised 17 December 1770[1] – 26 March 1827) was a
German composer and pianist. His best-known compositions include 9 symphonies,
5 piano concertos, 1 violin concerto, 32 piano sonatas, 16 string quartets, his great
Mass the Missa solemnis (1819), and one opera, Fidelio. (1805) and famous
Bagatelle No. 25 "Fuer Elise" (1867).
Born in Bonn, then the capital of the Electorate of Cologne and part of the Holy
Roman Empire, Beethoven displayed his musical talents at an early age and was
taught by his father Johann van Beethoven. At the age of 21 he moved to Vienna,
where he began studying composition and gained a reputation as a virtuoso pianist.
He lived in Vienna until his death.

5. Franz Schubert
Franz Peter Schubert war ein berühmter österreichischer Komponist der Romantik,
der u. a. über 600 Lieder wie den Liederzyklus „Die schöne Müllerin“ und
„Winterreise“ (1827), sieben Sinfonien und seine „Unvollendete“ in h-Moll (1822) und
die Oper „Des Teufels Lustschloss“ (1814) komponierte. Er wurde
am 31. Januar 1797 in Wien geboren und starb am 19. November1828 in Wien.
Franz Peter Schubert (31.1.1797 – 19.11.1828) was an Austrian composer.
Schubert was extremely prolific during his short lifetime. His output consists of over
600 secular vocal works (mainly Lieder: ) „Die schöne Müllerin“ und „Winterreise“
(1827),, seven complete symphonies and another one h-minor (1822), sacred music,
one (1814), incidental music and a large body of chamber and piano music, all
before he died.
Appreciation of Schubert's music while he was alive was limited to a relatively small
circle of admirers in Vienna, but interest in his work increased significantly in the
decades following his death. Today, Schubert is ranked among the greatest
composers of the late Classical and early Romantic eras.

6. The Beatles
waren eine britische Beatband und später auch Rockband in den 1960er Jahren. Mit
mehr als 600 Millionen – nach Schätzungen ihrer Plattenfirma EMI sogar mehr als
einer Milliarde – verkauften Tonträgern sind sie die bisher erfolgreichste Band der
Musikgeschichte.
Die musikalischen Ursprünge der Band liegen im Rock ’n’ Roll der ausgehenden
1950er Jahre, in den dann sehr bald Stilelemente der
Liverpooler Beatmusik einflossen. Ihre erste Single Love Me Do erschien 1962. Den
weltweiten Durchbruch schaffte die Gruppe im Jahr 1963 mit der Single I Want to
Hold Your Hand. Aufgrund ihres damals neuartigen Musikstils und ihres öffentlichen
Auftretens entwickelten sie sich schnell zu einer der populärsten Bands. Den
Höhepunkt ihrer Karriere erreichten die Beatles zwischen 1964 und 1968, als sie
zeitweise in fast allen Ländern die Hitparaden anführten.
Im Jahr 1970 trennten sich die Wege der vier Bandmitglieder aufgrund interner
Spannungen. Die Musiker verfolgten danach erfolgreich eigene Musikprojekte. John
Lennon wurde 1980 erschossen, George Harrison starb 2001 an Lungenkrebs.

The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. They
became widely regarded as the foremost and most influential music
band.[1] Rooted in skiffle, beat and 1950s rock and roll, the Beatles later
experimented with several musical styles, ranging from pop balladsand Indian
music to psychedelia and hard rock, often incorporating classical elements
and unconventional recording techniques in innovative ways. In 1962: „Love

want to hold your hand“); as the group's music grew in sophistication, led by
primary songwriters Lennon and McCartney, the band were integral to pop
music's evolution into an art form and to the development of
the counterculture of the 1960s. From 1965 onwards, the Beatles produced
increasingly innovative recordings, including the albums Rubber
Soul (1965), Revolver (1966), Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), The
Beatles(also known as the White Album, 1968) and Abbey Road (1969). After their
break-up in 1970, they each enjoyed success as solo artists. Lennon was shot and
killed in December 1980, and Harrison died of lung cancer in November 2001.
McCartney and Starr remain musically active.
