3. What is global warming?
Global warming is one of the major causes of
environmental pollution and climate change. It means
that there is a disproportionate increase in the
Earth's temperature over a period of time
It is a completely dynamic system, since the
temperature varies constantly but the solar energy is
absorbed by the Earth, generating as a consequence
the overheating of the Earth
4. Why does global
warming occur?
Global warming is produced by the increase of
temperature on Earth, resulting in great
consequences that are represented in the Earth's
atmosphere, where gases are emitted that produce
the greenhouse effect and cause a great
climatic change
5. Causes of global warming
There are several causes that provoke global
warming, which are divided into:
Natural causes Man-made causes
6. Natural causes
Natural causes are produced according to changes in
the Earth's orbital motion, solar variability and natural
events, such as volcanic activity
7. Man-made causes
Man-made causes are those produced by effects in
which humans participate in this process: the increase
of greenhouse gases due to excessive industrial
activity; deforestation of forests and jungles; burning of
fossil fuels derived from oil, natural gas and coal; and
the burning of fossil fuels, such as oil, natural gas and
coal
8. Consequences of
global warming
The main consequences of global warming are those
that we observe daily in the news: hurricanes,
droughts, floods, fires due to the very high
temperatures causing deforestation as well as lack of
food and resources
Another major consequence is the melting of glaciers,
changes in ecosystems and the increasing danger of
extinction of animals
9. Possible solutions to fight global warming
01
Pay attention to the
use of electricity in
your home
02
Adopt recycling
knowledge and habits
03
Plant more trees
04
Pay attention to the
amount of garbage
that we generate
05
Use public
transportation or
bicycles to reduce the
amount of gases
emitted by cars
06
Raise public
awareness about the
importance of caring
for the environment
