Cancer is a group of diseases characterized by
uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells.

Cancer starts with the abnormal growth of
one cell, which then can multiply into billions
of cancerous cells. This will form a mass of
tissue called a tumor.

chemicals that enhance blood vessel

break away from a malignant tumor and
migrate to other parts of the body, where

Cancer risks factors?
Cigarette smokers have 20 times or even greater risk than
nonsmokers.

rates of lung cancer.
Air pollution increases the risk for lung cancer
Exposure to certain mining materials, uranium and
radioactive products, and asbestos have been demonstrated
to be associated with lung cancer.
