Jerry Saenz brings more than twenty years of financial and operational experience to Early
Growth Financial Services (EGFS). Jerry specializes in helping clients maximize cash flow,
develop strategic plans, achieve cost reductions, and increase enterprise value.
Prior to joining EGFS, Jerry was Managing Consultant for The Stapleton Group and Kibel
Green, two well-respected financial consulting firms specializing in turnaround management of
companies in distress. Jerry managed several companies in various industries through the
restructuring process, either out of bankruptcy or in bankruptcy. He successfully restructured
several companies into a profit mode allowing them to continue operating as a "going concern.”
Jerry also acted as CFO consultant for various startup companies, helping to set them up with
business licenses, managing human resources, managing their IT technology which included
the implementation of fully integrated accounting software, instructing employees on how to use
the software applications, cash flow forecasting, creating financial projections to present to
potential investors and to manage the company to meet its financial objectives. He was
successful in raising capital for these startups through private stock offerings in the range of $1
to $2.8 million. He also managed all legal matters for these startups and ensured that they had
appropriate insurance coverage such as general insurance, D&O, and E&O insurance.
Prior to consulting, Jerry was CFO and COO for Certi-Fresh Foods, Inc., a food processing
company in Los Angeles County with annual revenues of 70 million. His duties included the
compilation of monthly financial statements, annual budgets, cash flow forecasting, financial
projections, managing the finance, human resource and IT departments which included fully
integrated accounting system conversions and the overall operations. Jerry was successful in
converting a 5 million asset based loan to an unsecured corporate line of credit in the amount of
10 million. He also obtained private investment capital in the amount of 18 million selling a 49%
stake in the company so the founders of the company could "cash out" on part of their company
while maintaining 51% ownership and control. Prior to Certi-Fresh Foods, Inc., Jerry acted as
CFO and COO for other medium-sized companies in Los Angeles County and Orange County.
Jerry holds a Bachelor of Science from Chapman University. He is very proficient in several fully
integrated accounting software applications such as QuickBooks Enterprise, Accpac Plus, MAS
90, MAS 200,MAS 500,SAAS based accounting and CRM software. He also served on the
board of directors for two medium-sized companies, providing them with his business and
financial expertise. He is fluent in English/Spanish and is actively involved in his community.
