Everyone knows 51 article of CMR convention. It matters what is not in those articles. All obligations, responsibilities that are not established in convention, can be negotiated with the hauler in your benefit. There transport order is your best option.

1. Hauler must complete order by its own means of
transport (owned, rented or leased). Hauler agrees
and that if it will assign any obligations arising from
this transport order in any scope to a third party
without the consent of the customer, such actions
will be considered deliberate and intentional
violation of transport order . Therefore, hauler
agrees to indemnify any loss without weight limit
established in CMR convention article 32 p. 3.
In any circumstances, driver is not allowed to leave
the trailer and cargo unattended (leave in such
distance that trailer, cargo would be out of sight of
driver). If the driver leaves trailer and cargo
unattended, such actions will be considered as gross
negligence. Hauler agrees to indemnify any loss
without weight limit.
Hauler confirms that it accepts terms and conditions
of this transport order by taking cargo for carriage.
Acceptance of cargo for carriage is considered:
signing of transport order or any conclusive actions
when hauler accepts cargo at the location indicated
in transport order.
Its driver`s responsibility to inspect shipment before
accepting it for carriage. Driver is responsible for
securing and overseeing loading procedures, unless
stated otherwise. If the cargo or package has been
damaged before loading or driver has been
prevented from following loading procedures and
driver has failed to mention that in CMR waybill and
obtain shipper`s signature besides those notes, then
hauler will be held liable for any lost or damaged
cargo or package.
Hauler must posses a valid cargo liability
CMR insurance which sum insured in
euros must be not less then cargo
weight multiplied by eleven.
The Parties agree that every stowaway activity
detected in a vehicle used to transport the cargo are
a violation of this transport order. Consequently, the
customer is entitled to reject in full all cargo
contained on that specific Transport affected by a
stowaway
