Dear Member,
Overleaf you will find our August 2012 schedule for Gateway.

July Outing: Members from Gateway went on a trip to Sandymount on the 27 of July. It was a great day and the weather
was nice. Thank you to everyone who came along.

August Outing: We will be planning another outing for Gateway. Come along to the members meeting on Monday the

13 of August to get your suggestions heard.

Pool Competition: We will be holding our pool competition in Gateway drop in on Thursday the 16 of August, come
along and get involved.

Advisory Committee Meeting: Gateway Advisory Committee will be meeting in the back room at Parker Hill on the 16 of
August from 1.00pm – 2.30pm. Members are welcome to join in.

Minutes of the Members Meeting of the Gateway Project on the 9 July 2012
    1 Welcome: Rose S chaired the meeting and welcomed all members

    2 Minutes: The minutes of the members meeting from 11 of June 2012 were read by Chris A. Helen M pointed
                                                                  th
        out the details for the trip to Sandymount on Friday 27 of July.
    3 August Speaker: SOS is due to come in August but it is not definite. Grow and Aware were suggested as
        alternatives. A discussion also took place on who should speak in Gateway in future. It was decided that this be
        put on agenda for next meeting in August.
    4 August Trip: The group discussed options for an August trip out such as cinema, swimming, and the national art
        gallery. It was decided that the trip be picked out of a hat.
    5 TV in Gateway: A definite no was decided regarding whether a TV would be a good idea for drop in.
    6 Rights and Responsibilities: Helen M went through the wall charts and discussed rights and responsibilities of
        Gateway members. An additional chart was added on so that members can add their ideas to this.
    7 A.O.B Rose S suggested that members should have access to the local cinema at a reduced rate for people on
        a social welfare payment. Nicholas C and San

    11 Rose S suggested that Gateway information should be available for in patients. Rose S also indicated that there
        is a need for practical information i.e. housing, social welfare and support groups for people recently out of
        hospital.
    12 Mary B mentioned the wellbeing information session taking place in Mount Drummond.
