1. Objective
By the virtue of my sincerity and hard work, I shall strive to utilise my skills to excel in reporting and sub-
editing. I want to secure a challenging position where I can effectively contribute to the publication I am
working for.
Work Experience
 Currently working as Reporter/Sub-Editor with Deccan Herald.
• In the past one year and six months (May 2015- December 2016) I have been
writing on social issues, gender-based issues and for the concerns of the poor. I
am also interested in food. I am fond of covering art and culture. I also like
reporting an offbeat perspective about Bollywood films like ‘Talvar’, ‘Piku’ and
‘Margarita with a Straw’.
• Because of my position as a Sub-Editor, I have some experience in editing.
• I am familiar with page-making on Quark Xpress.
 Worked as a Content Writer for LimeTray (January 2015- February 2015), a start-up
based in New Delhi. The company works for increasing the web presence of restaurants,
increasing their engagement with the customers and the overall revenue by creating a
CRM platform.
 Worked as a Content Writer and fashion features writer for ‘fashionfad.in’ (February
2014-December 2014). It is an online portal which covers fashion, lifestyle and luxury.
 Interned as a feature reporter and writer for two months (December 2013-January
2014), with ‘The Asian Age’ (The Deccan Chronicle).
 One month (September 2013- October 2013) internship in ‘The Hindu’, worked as
feature reporter.
 Worked as an intern in NDTV 24 x 7 for one month (July 2013-August 2013) and was
given credits as the Production Assistant in two shows of India Matters — ‘This Side That
Side-Restorying Partition’ and ‘Food Security Bill’.
