Is there anything too difficult for Jesus Christ our Messiah.June 2012
1. Is there anything too difficult for Jesus Christ our Messiah?
“He gives me joy in place of sorrow
He gives me love that casts out fear
He gives me sunshine for my shadow
And ‘beauty for ashes’ here”
J.G.Crabble.
The Season of Advent is the period of time in the Christian calendar when many Christians prepare to celebrate the
Christmas, the first coming of Christ our Messiah, while looking forward to His second coming, to planet earth.
During advent, the main emphasis are on a lively hope,(1 Peter 1:3-5);peace (1Peter 3:10-12);unspeakable joy (1 Peter
1:6-9) and agape love (1 Peter 1:22-23), which the Almighty God sent to mankind with and through Jesus Christ, our
Saviour, Messiah and Redeemer.
We are told that before Jesus Christ was born, people hope for the Messiah, who will redeem His people and save them
from their sins (Isaiah 53:12). That hope was fulfilled in Luke 2:1-14, in the night that He was born.
The text of the Bible in Isaiah 61:3-5 can be summarized briefly as Christ coming to undo whatever has died, decayed,
irreparable and/or wrong with our lives. It is also a continuation of the fulfillment of the ministry, as foretold in Isaiah
61:1-2, which was mainly to give us freedom by grace and amend the rigorous restriction of religion, the religious law,
without really abolishing the law.
The Messiah’s Second Advent’s six fold ministry was and is to give succour to all who mourn, oil of joy and
happiness, garments of praise and gratitude, a strong spirit of encouragement, relief from our sin, oppression and
depression, healing of the sick and to supply all the goodies that we need, in order that He might be glorified.
When we confess and receive His hope, peace, joy and love (Hopejoylove), there is nothing too difficult for us to
achieve, as there is no impossibility with Christ. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” (Philippians
4:13) “For with God nothing shall be impossible” .Luke 1:37.
Our Creator, the Almighty God, who is the Lord of Heaven and earth, the King of Kings,
Lord of Lords, the Ancient of Days, our Rock of Ages, our Alpha and Omega and the, I AM THAT I AM, can and do
bring about awesome moments of grace and beauty out of even a hopeless situation. He is the God of possibilities.
Jesus Christ, who is the Prince of Peace, has paid the supreme sacrifice on the cross of Calvary, rose again for our
redemption and ascended into Heaven, to prepare a place in His Father’s Kingdom for all who believe in, accept Him
and continue to abide in Him (John 15:10).He will do a makeover for you and you who believe on his words and act
likewise. Crystal Lewis an American contemporary Christian/Gospel vocalist, song writer and author, in one of his
very popular lyrics; “Beauty for Ashes” sang, that “Jesus gives beauty for ashes, strength for fear, and gladness for
mourning and peace for despair”…and “that God knows your need, just believe what He said”.
What then or simply put, what is expected of mankind, to enjoy the hope, peace, joy and love that only Christ Our
Messiah, can provide freely?. Moreover how can we obtain and claim like St Paul in Philippians 4:13, that “I can do all
things through Christ who strengthens me.”, despite his been stoned, imprisoned, shipwrecked, perils on land and
sea, persecutions, weariness and toil, sleeplessness often, hunger and thirst, fasting in cold and nakedness.(2 Cor.
11:24-27) ).Paul was able to endure by faith in the word of God. The widow at the gates of Nain dried her eyes when
Jesus spoke to her and Jarius no longer mourned for his child. Magdalene gave over weeping, while Thomas ceased
from doubting, when Jesus showed himself. Do you know that heavy hearts leaped for joy and dim eyes sparked with
delight at His bidding?. Who else can go about doing good except the great Physician, the sympathising Jesus.
Brethren, hear the voice of the Messiah today as He is earnestly calling all sinners, to repentance, come and open your
broken hearts to the only wise God, the Almighty and unfailing Lord of all, and to whom and in whom we live and
have our being.
Moreover, we are called to serve Him, radiate His beauty, and be pure and holy without which no man can see God. Be
radiant, be relevant, be a catalyst for growth and a solid beautiful lover of God and His Kingdom principles.
2. We need a revival of our hearts, our worship, our prayer life and mind set. We need to humble ourselves, to be lifted
up, by the Almighty Yahweh. Do you know that Jesus Christ the son of the most High God, is able to and would make
all broken hearts right, heal the sick, give sight to the blind, release from bondage, free all who are possessed and
obsessed by the devil and principalities of this wicked world, raise to life all our dead bones and make us victorious as
against remaining victims of our afflictions and situations?.
Brothers and Sisters, Let us like St Paul the Apostle, be spent for the Lord, spirit, soul and body, to be able to boldly
say, “From henceforth let no man trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus”.(Galatians 6:17).
We are invited to be branded for Christ, with diligent and daily devotion. Let us not waste His sufferings, passion and
love for us and desire nothing in the world, but the pure love for God,( not as humanists alone); be soul winners in our
homes, offices, work places, in the streets and in our thoughts, words and deeds, but at all times and in all places, to the
glory of the most High. “Let somebody shout Halleluyah”.
We should resolve today to continue to wait upon the Lord and lean not on our own understanding, acknowledge Him
always, “And let us not be weary in welldoing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”(Galatians 6:9). He is a
rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). The mere delay in answering your prayer is not a denial
thereof, as a thousand years in His sight is like a day. So be patient as He will keep His promise and “…supply all your
need according to His riches in glory by in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).
Furthermore, the great promises, prophesies, stories and miracles in the Bible, the testimonies of the apostles from of
old, till the present, the firmaments and all the great works of creation all proclaim and testify, that the Creator of the
universe is greater than all your problems. Thus the need to come, run to and lean on Him now. Great Men and women
of faith have proclaimed, through out all the ages, also over and over and I do also believe that nothing,
nothing and absolutely nothing is too difficult for the Lord Jesus Christ our Messiah to do for you; if only
you believe, confess and accept Him, trust and obey Him today, as your personal Lord and Saviour. Our
God is a good God. He is our Hope and He is able to carry you through. Praise and rejoice in the Kings of
Kings, I say Rejoice!
My beloved, even King Solomon, in his glory and riches, expressed that all of life is vanity and a vexation
of spirit (Ecclesiastes 2:17). In other words, any life without Christ is bound for crisis. So, do not ‘give up’
but let Christ produce in you character and through character, hope (Romans 5:3-4).Then you can
courageously assert, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."(Philippians 4:13)
So with Christ and in Christ and through our relationship of active faith in Him we have adequate strength
to face the different challenges and situations of life, in good and in bad times. He can do all things for us,
but at His own time .We could not have any other way, from who is the way, the truth and the life!.
“Strength in response to prayer we offer to God through Him. Strength of character as we follow His
example and obey Him. This is strength in such abundance; we are able to do everything God wants us to
do”. Is there anything too difficult or hard for Jesus Christ our Messiah? .The answer is affirmably, nothing
is too difficult for our Counsellor, our kind and everlasting Father. So, “Be alert, stand firm in the faith, be
brave and strong” (1 Corinthians 16:13).
What is more, He who has begun a good work in us will perfect it. He is everything to those who diligently
seek Him, the Unchangeable Changer, the Unmoveable Mover and the all sufficient God. Jesus Christ our
Messiah is the only one who can and would invariably turn our mourning into joy, cast out our fear, redeem
our destiny and restore us to dominion and beautify our lives again. Nothing is too difficult for the Saviour
of the world. Since our future is sure and secured in Christ, shall we like Rohrns proclaim:
“God holds the future in His hands,
With grace sufficient day by day
Through good or ill He gently leads
If we but let Him have His way.”
