2. Who we are:
Teen Leadership Corps is an established educational
nonprofit that provides a leadership curriculum and
service outreach program to schools at no cost.
3. Mission Statement:
To empower future leaders by bringing
character, integrity, and citizenship to
high school students through an
academic service-based leadership
program.

5. History:
• Founded by Mary Ann Creamer in response to school budget cuts
to her Leadership Class following a financial crisis
• Two years of research into leadership development determined
the need for a not for profit to provide training and support to
School Districts to build out Leadership Courses
• In the 2008-2009 School Year, the first seven TLC Classes were
implemented.
• Today we serve 32 schools, in 14 counties, and over 700

6. Service Projects:
• Student and teachers identify service projects that are needed in
their school and community
• Students plan, fundraise, and execute these projects
• Over 200 projects were completed last year
7. Leadership Development:
• Students invite community, business and political leaders to speak with
their class to learn more about their community
and different leadership styles.
• These leaders talk to the students about the importance
of soft skills and what they are looking for in future employees.

• We serve as a complement to the “tested” school subjects to
provide a well-rounded student upon their graduation.
• Students are empowered through project management.
• TLC is funded through donations from individuals and corporate
sponsors.
• Through our corporate connections, we can finance student
projects and create the seeds of a professional network.
• Servant-based leaders will continue to serve their communities
well beyond graduation.
