5. LAW 421 Week 5 Final Research Paper and Presentation
Write a 1500-2000-word paper on a legal issue chosen by your Learning Team
decided upon no later than Week Three and approved by the instructor. The topic
should cover a specific area of law in one of the main subject areas of the
course LEGAL ENVIRONMENT, TORTS AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY,
CONTRACTS, BUSINESS ETHICS, and BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS AND
AGENCY LAW. Faculty approval is required to ensure that no two teams give a
presentation on the same topic.
The paper will include a table of contents, introduction, sub-headings and citations in
the body of the paper, a conclusion, and reference page (at least five references in
addition to the text).
Prepare 10-to-12 Microsoft® PowerPoint® slides with detailed speaker notes to
illustrate your paper and covering the subject matter of the paper. Be creative;
non-traditional presentations are strongly encouraged.
Each team will present a 15-20-minute oral presentation covering the subject matter
of the paper using the prepared Microsoft® PowerPoint® slides.
Four points of this paper and presentation are allocated, unless excused for good cause,
to participating in your team's pesentation and being present and participating in the
other team presentations.
