A team of ten medical professionals, collaborating to conceive with the clinic, a
boutique health care facility that specifically targets the baby boomers. Our clinic mar-
ries the traditional treatments along with holistic approaches to healthcare. The first
clinic will be opening in Boston, MA in the St. Cloud building, located in Boston’s South
End. The building already houses retail space on the first level and
condominiums above. A large segment of the Boston Baby Boomers population lives
in the surrounding neighborhood. The area is ripe for a practice with a sophisticated
atmosphere and a broad scope of services and amenities. Additionally Boston Medical
Center is steps away and a pharmacy is opening next door to the clinic. The clients
will be able to take advantage of storefront by incorporating a hotel inspired lobby
reception with refreshments where customers can wait and meet with the concierge.
The surgeons have purchased two levels of he building, having the first level being the
main entrance and preventative care will be provided, as for the second level being
opened later on and being focused on the more severe conditions.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
The baby boomer generation is defined as the population born after WWII, between
1946 and 1964. Since the demographic is so large they have been responsible for
shaping many of the trends in our country today. One big trend is the tendency
toward plastic surgery of all kinds, such as the simple wrinkle fillers to the full
“makeovers” including, breast augmentation, breast lift, and tummy tucks. While
plastic surgery is a personal decision, and every patient has his or her own reasons
for choosing this path, there are many requirements and problems with this. For our
design of Many Clinic we will face the codes and regulations such as zoning, overlays,
hazards, noise, accessibility, materials, egress, healthcare usage, and fire codes. Since
our target market is the Baby Boomer Generation we will try to make the space as
accessible and functional with the luxurious and aging in place design.

Plastic surgery has a well-known history of innovative procedures and products,
including microvasular surgery, liposuction, and tissue expansion. The concept rotates
around luxury and purity. Pure lines, colors, and materials will be used providing a
spacious and fully equipped and pleasant working environment. The cosmetic surgery
space is called “many” due to the many faces of beauty that reflect attention to
detail, cutting edge technology, and passion for the aesthetics.

RESEARCH ANALYSIS
Boston is sometimes called “The Cradle of Liberty” for its role in instigating the American Revolution.
Around the1630s the Puritans established settlement and that’s when Boston’s rich history started.
Massachusetts’ first deputy governor, Thomas Dudley, named it. Boston became home to about a
thousand Puritans who had fled religious and political persecution in Europe. Boston is full of
exciting opportunities to explore America’s past. But history did not stop happening when the
Revolution ended. It is one of America’s oldest cities, with a rich economic and social history. What
had become as a homesteading community eventually evolved into a center for social and political
change. It is home to over 617,000 residents, many institutions of higher education, some of the
worlds finest inpatient hospitals, and numerous cultural and professional sports organizations.
Around this area there are many places to dine, coffee houses, shopping stores, and transportation.
