Based in Rockville, Maryland, Forrester Construction Company recently completed work on a large columbarium at Arlington National Cemetery. Shortly before Memorial Day 2013, Arlington National Cemetery unveiled Columbarium Court No. 9. Encompassing two acres, this facility consists of 20,000 niches that can hold three to four urns apiece. As one of the biggest columbaria in the cemetery, it will serve as the resting place for military veterans and their families while alleviating the space-shortage problem facing the national landmark. During the dedication ceremony, unclaimed remains of troops from the Civil War, World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War were interred there.
