Propuesta el efecto de la contaminación electromagnética
1. The Effect of the Exposition to
Electromagnetic Contamination in the Memory

Rise program
2. Does the high exposure to
electromagnetic pollution can affect
memory?
Statement of the problem
3. Project Overview
The Electromagnetic Contamination known as electro smog in the
presence of various forms of electromagnetic energy in the
atmosphere.
By its magnitude and exposure time can producer risk, harm or
discomfort to people and ecosystems.
We are not able to appreciate it through our senses even when it
comes to large amounts, because it is physically impalpable but is a
major threat to our health.
4. Result of continuous high frequency
fields made by man are:
High voltage cables
Appliances - Radio and Television, microwave
Pulsed fields of cell phones
Transmission towers cellular phone signal
5. Health issues
Since exposure to wireless and telephony
networks is something global, not individual,
population registries serve as testimony to know
the effects of electromagnetic pollution on
health.
Statistics show that people living within 400
meters from a cell tower, have three times as
likely to develop cancer.
6. Research
Immunological alterations: the human body is weakened and takes
longer to heal
Increased blood pressure
Increased stress
Increased body temperature. Enabling the appearance of burns.
In addition, long-term exposure to electromagnetic pollution is low
or high, enables the following diseases, many of which were fatal:
Fatigue
Asthma
Cardiovascular disease
leukemia
7. Why make a research of this theme:
Every day increases exposure to electromagnetic pollution, by technological
advances.
Hazards concern for radiation exposure, increasing telephonies and cellular
antennas.
Cellular radiation than natural radiation because there is no way to regulate
it.
Everywhere we are exposed to electromagnetic pollution especially in our
homes and work that is where we spend most of our time and we do not have
protection.
8. We used increasingly to advances without realizing it's hurting our
health.
Electromagnetic pollution might call the silent murderer.
Children are more vulnerable because of greater absorption in
tissues of the head and longer exposure time in life what worries
immensely.
The turned off technological equipment receive radio frequency and
electromagnetic fields generated
9. If exposure to electromagnetic pollution is
higher, the memory will be more affected
Hypothesis
10. Materials
Materials (detailed list) Quantity (be specific)
Machine to measure the contamination
( Gauss meter)

Rat maze ( Morris water maze) 1
Item Amount
Item Amount
11.
12. The Morris water maze is a large round tub of opaque
water (made white with powdered milk) with two small
hidden platforms located 1-2 cm under the water's
surface.
The rat is placed on a start platform. The rat swims
around until it finds the other platform to stand on.
External cues, such as patterns or the standing researcher,
are placed around the pool in the same spot every time to
help the rat learn where the end platform is.
The researcher measures how long it takes for a rat to
find hidden platform.
13. Procedure
Compare the results
and see if the
electromagnetic
contamination affects
the memory.
Step 1
Take a group of mice
and divide the group in
two groups.
Step 2
Verify their memory
capacity through series
of tests on the Morris
water maze.
Step 3
Then apply the
electromagnetic waves
to one of the groups
and do the tests on the
Morris water maze
again to see if the
electromagnetic waves
affects memory or
don’t.
Step 4
14. Groups
Controlled group
• The rats that will
not be exposed
to
electromagnetic
waves.
Experimental
group
• The rats that will
be exposed to
electromagnetic
waves.
15. Goals
Hopefully after this investigation I will be
able to determine if exposure to
electromagnetic contamination affects on
memory.
By investigating this we can limit the
quantity of electromagnetic waves that are
produce by different technological articles.
