Eucliea Consulting - Framework Validation Model Abstract
1. Framework Validation Model – A New
Approach to Achieving Success
The Framework Validation Model, developed by Eucliea Consulting, is used to identify the factors that are
hindering the expected results in situations where there can be possibility of more than one reason for failure.
This Framework Validation Model, while can be implemented in any organization, it is suited especially to
medium size companies.
The Model can be used in any area of the organization, but in our experience, the best case happens when the
Model is applied to Marketing or Finance cases as the starting point of the investigation.
The basic premise of the model is that all success (or failure) is based on the validity of the assumptions the
company makes about the environment; the environment comprises its People, the market it operates, the
product or service delivery methods and the financial norms. In most cases the solution lie within this
framework. However there will be boundary situations where the reason for failure (or success) lie beyond
the base environment factored by the four blocks of the environment, and is in the general environment which
the company will be unable to capitalize or adapt.
The model then takes you through a structured process as shown in the diagram below:
The model then suggests on verifying all the assumptions through data and statistical methods. Once the
assumption(s) are segregated as valid or not-valid, the cause for lack of success is known thru the invalidated
assumptions, and then the solution becomes obvious. Further to ensure that the company follow thru, an
execution plan is a must to complete the application of the model.
The Model has been successfully applied to many cases that can be shared. It is now a mature delivery
process.
2. Examples of Companies who have benefitted using the Model
Case #1: Bringing down Service Delivery time from 7 days to 32 hrs
A Large petroleum retail company was having difficulty in providing service to its stations on the highway.
Case #2: Improving the Sales by over 140% in one year
An Apparel company was not satisfied with the sales of a new product line
3. Architect of the Framework Model
The model has been developed by Prasun Deb. He is a MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and has over 3 decades of
experience. He has been in senior positions in variety of companies, MNC, Indian Conglomerates and start-
ups. This gave him a wide perspective of situations and the way companies handle it. He has been always
concerned with the topic of why companies do not achieve success, especially after getting the initial growth.
Through his independent consulting, that he has been pursuing for the last decade, as an Advisor and
Consultant, he has been able to observe the companies closely, which has helped in developing the model.
