1. Mixed Conditionals
1) Third Second Mixed Conditionals
If + Past Perfect, + Would / Could / Might + verb
Past Condition / Present Result
Una situación pasada tiene una consecuencia en el presente (If I hadn’t passed my
driving test, I wouldn’t be driving a car). Se trata de una combinación entre el
tercer y segundo condicional.

because the person did not do the course and as a result does not know about it
now.)
Este tipo de condicional refleja una situación hipotética del pasado y los efectos
reales del presente.
If we hadn't missed our flight we'd be in Spain now.
2) Second Third Mixed Conditionals
If + Past Simple, + Would have + Past Participle
Present Condition / Past Result
Una situación presente relacionada con una situación pasada (If I didn’t like
children, I would have taken a job in a primary school.) Se trata de una
combinación entre el segundo y el tercer condicional.
If I were you, I wouldn't have done that.
If I could speak Spanish, I wouldn't have needed to get the letter translated.
