1. Study in Japan
With a vibrant and unique culture that blends deep-rooted ancient traditions with the
world’s most advanced technology, Japan is a fascinating land of contrasts. Peaceful an-
cient landscapes provide the backdrop for the world’s most modern cities. Explore this
fascinating country through Quest’s exclusive immersion program this spring!
We know that starting a new adventure in a study
abroad program can be intimidating. The director
of the program, Sheryl Belefski, will chaperone
students for the first phase of their trip and will
place them with a Japanese family. She will help
to make students feel comfortable, oriented and
excited to begin their journey. She grew up in Ja-
pan and taught ESL in high school and colleges in
Japan for years. She now lives in the US and runs
several short term programs throughout the year.
She is an experienced guide who is dedicated to
give students the best possible experience.
During their stay, students will be welcomed into
a home with a Japanese household, giving them a
home base during their stay. Host families are excited
to meet new international students and to support
them throughout their time in Japan. Students study
alongside Japanese peers, giving them true feel of
what it is like to be a student in Japan. The classroom
gives students a space to get to know locals and form
friendships that can last a lifetime. Students grow and
expand their worldview as they share adventures and
meaningful conversations about their backgrounds and
beliefs with Japanese friends.
