Practices
5. STANDARDS
Table and chair must be provided for the PACD
officer of the day and the guard.
At least two (2) visitors chairs should be provided
for the use of the public.
Provision of the customer feedback form and
appropriate drop box.
Availability of office supplies such as logbook,
pen, pencil, stapler, paper clips and forms.
Provision of visitor’s ID for the use of the guard.
Provision of IED materials about DOJ-PPA.
The desk for the PACD and the guard should be
properly labelled.
7. STANDARDS
Lobby must be kept stain-free, dry and free from dust
and obstructions which may cause accidents.
Well-lighted and ventilated.
Plants, paintings and other displays should be arranged
in an orderly fashion.
TV for information may be provided.
Directional signs must be clear, visible and
understandable.
Postings may only be done on the bulletin board and no
unnecessary posting may be made on walls and other
surrounding areas.
Broken floor tiles should be replaced at once.
During cleaning hours, appropriate signages must be
placed in order to prevent accident.
9. STANDARDS
Provision of comfortable visitor’s chairs and/or
bench
Area must be kept clean, dry and free from dust
and obstruction
Area must be well lighted and ventilated
Sleeping on benches is prohibited
Provision of water and cups for the visitors
TV may be provided
Reading materials may be provided
Area must be PWD and SC friendly
11. STANDARDS
Parking lines should be clear and visible.
Driveway should be clear of obstructions
in case of emergency.
Provision of PWD parking slot.
Signages and directional signs should be
clear, visible and understandable.
Cleanliness must be maintained at all
times.
13. STANDARDS
Floor and walls must be kept clean, dry and
stain-free
The entire CR must be free from foul odor, well
ventilated and well-lighted
Hand dryer, Lavatory, toilet and bidet must be
top condition all the time
Exhaust fans must be free from dust stain
Urinals and floor drains must be free from
obstruction
Provision of supplies for cleaning
Provision of hand soap, toilet paper and trash
can
The entire area must be cleaned every hour
Presence of hourly cleaning checklist
15. STANDARDS
OFFICE DESK
Label/ staff name with position for the
designated work area/ cubicle
Things to be found on top anytime during the
day: documents, small instrument/equipment
used (e.g. stapler, calculator, computer) Two
personal effects only (e.g. mirror, picture frame)
and should occupy an area no bigger than an A4
sized bond paper
Pending file box (for working files)
At the end of the day: only the personal effects
and the pending file box (stored in the file
cabinet) should be found on the desk
16. STANDARDS
OFFICE CHAIR
During the day: one jacket or shawl should be neatly
placed on the chair (if not used); at the end of the day
should be kept inside the drawer (personal)
All the times: chairs are tucked in when not in use
Only one small pillow may be found on the chair
Only one chair per cubicle is allowed.
MOBILE PEDESTAL
Closed properly are all times
No personal effects and other unnecessary items on the
top of the mobile pedestal
Files/ documents are neatly arranged and properly
labeled

CONFERENCE TABLE
Table is clear and clean when not in use.
VISITORS’ CHAIRS (FOR SUPERVISORS ONLY)
Chairs are uniform
Chairs are tucked-in when not in use
EQUIPMENT (TELEPHONE, COMPUTER, PRINTER)
Must be regularly cleaned and maintained
Cable wires should be managed properly
Must be turned off when not in use
18. STANDARDS
WHITE BOARD (IF PROVIDED)
Writings should be neatly arranged
When writing, an area no bigger than an A4 paper
should be occupied
Black whiteboard marker should only be used
ROOM TEMPERATURE MUST BE MAINTAINED AT A
COMFORTABLE LEVEL (22-24 DEGREES CENTIGRADE).
NO UNNECESSARY ITEMS MUST BE FOUND ON THE
FLOOR.
NO TRASHCAN/GARBAGE BIN ALLOWED IN THE
CUBICLE.
20. STANDARDS
STEEL CABINETS
Closed properly at all times.
Cabinets are clearly labeled.
Bin cards should always be updated near the
racks or shelves.
SHELVES
Shelves must be the of the same size.
Shelves are clearly labeled.
LADDER
Has proper storage area when not in use.
Is sturdy to prevent accidents.
21. STANDARDS
WORKING TABLE (DEPENDING ON THE STOCK
ROOM SPACE)
Table is dust and stain-free
No unnecessary items on the table (e.g. food,
personal effect, eating utensils)
CHAIRS (DEPENDING ON THE STOCK ROOM

Have sturdy legs/ wheels to prevent accidents
Chairs are tucked in when not in use

Supplies/ equipment are neatly arranged and

properly maintained.
Room temperature should be maintained at a
comfortable level.
25. STANDARDS
Lavatory must be clean and free from stain
and foul odor.
Water dispenser should be clean and free of
mold.
Refrigerators must be regularly maintained
and free from foul odor.
Stove, coffee maker, dining table and
utensils must be clean and free from stain
and foul odor.

Glass doors must be kept clear and stain-free.
Electrical and internet outlets must be kept safe
for use and fully functional.
Air-conditioning units must be regularly cleaned
and maintained for efficiency of use.
28. AREA:
EMPLOYEES
STANDARDS
Employees must follow all rules,
regulations and statutes.
Prescribed office attire must be
worn at all times.
Proper decorum inside office
premises shall be observed.
The ARTA ID must be worn at
all time during office hours.
Courtesy towards fellow
employees and the public must
be observed at all times.
