The Air Operations Center (AOC) Systems Administrator Initial Qualification Training Course trains personnel assigned
to an AN/USQ-163 AOC weapon system or manpower forces unit to perform Command and Control (C2) Systems
Administrator duties in a Combined/Joint Air Operations Center (C/JAOC). The course focuses on AOC systems training
on Windows and UNIX-based servers/clients. The course consists of AOC Infostructure including directory services,
application and security patching, mail and messaging and Web services; network and security infrastructure; AOC
systems maintenance including backup and recovery tools and procedures, problem reporting, configuration tools, and
user, account, and profile management; AOC systems and applications configuration, collaboration services, centralized
storage, support documentation and systems verification; AOC databases administration; and AOC systems interfaces
configuration. Personnel also receive training on Joint and Service doctrine, Theater Air Ground System (TAGS), JAOC
organization and processes, and other associated JAOC Command and Control (C2) systems tools. Training consists of
19 days of academic lectures, Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI), computer application labs, practical exercises,
performance evaluations and a comprehensive end-of-course exercise where students troubleshoot and resolve AOC
systems problems, simulating a JAOC environment.

This course is designed to provide training for personnel of the AFSC 3D032. Information presented in the
E3AQR3D032 00BA course includes the following four blocks: Introduction to Cyber Systems, Windows Operating
System, Database Administration/Web Fundamentals, and Theater Deployable Communication. Note: This training
requires completion of three successive courses. The Security+ Commercial Certification Exam, administered in the last
course is required to award the AFSC. The exam is administered by Certified Test Proctors, not instructors and
therefore students cannot request clarification of the exam questions. It must be noted that the certification process is
governed by a professional organization and the US Air Force must abide by the provisions set forth in their directives.
The certification exam has a dollar fee attached to it every time the exam is administered. The US Air Force only covers
the cost of the exam for US Air Force members and Air Force Component members, no other course attendees.
