Katelyn Beno
Ketelyn Beno is a senior at Central Michigan University majoring in
Public Relations and Event Management. Beno has done work with
CMU Athletic Communications, Special Olympics Michigan, and the
Saginaw Spirit Hockey Club. In her spare time Beno enjoys training
in Crossfit, being outdoors, and spending time with her friends
and family.
Elizabeth Diliberti
Elizabeth Diliberti is a senior at Central Michigan University majoring
in Recreation and Event Management and minoring in Hospitality.
Diliberti has worked with the West Midland Family Center, Michigan
Childhood Cancer Foundation, and various other event companies
throughout her time at CMU. After she graduates she hopes to obtain
a position working as a large-scale event planner.
Tyler Payne

Tyler Payne is a senior at Central Michigan University studying
Entrepreneurship and Event Management. Payne is currently
interning for an event planning company near home, as well as
working at school. He enjoys spending time with family and friends
and considers himself a very goal-driven person. Payne plans to own
an event planning company specializing in weddings.
5. Sarah Campbell
Cassie Szczepanski
5
Sarah Campbell is a senior at Central Michigan University studying
Construction Management, International Business and Sustainable
Development, and Event Management. She is very involved in CMU’s
Women’s Rugby Club and helps plan fundraisers and events as the
team’s match secretary. By combining her passion for rugby and
her event management studies, Campbell has learned she wants to
pursue a career in event management in the future. After college, she
hopes to work with USA Rugby and help organize and plan major
events for the organization.
Cassie Szczepanski is a senior at Central Michigan University
studying Commercial Recreation and Hospitality. In December 2014
she will be moving to Portland, Oregon to finish her degree interning
for Portland Parks and Recreation, assisting the event coordinators
with the summer events program. When not in class or studying
Szczepanski enjoys rock climbing, fishing, and backpacking all over
Michigan and the Midwest.

Center for American Art, located at 8th
and F St. NW, Washington D.C., 20004. The
center is about a 12 minute walk from the Marriott Marquis or a 12 minute metro ride
on the Green Line, for about $2. Buses will also be provided and will be outside the
Marriott Marquis beginning at 7:00pm and returning every half hour, until 11:30pm.

City on November 28th

graduate of William and Mary
University, this comedic icon has
debated with several respected political presences such as Bill Clinton and
Bill O’Reilly. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart has aired for nearly 20
seasons, winning countless Grammy’s and various other prestigious awards.
Stewart has published three books and has been featured on the front cover
of magazines such as “The Rolling Stone” and “Entertainment Weekly”.
Jon Stewart has left an impression on the political culture of the United
States and will continue to be a comedic, political icon throughout America.

Protest Etiquette in the United States
Robert Bates is an American political scientist and the
Eaton Professor in the department of government at
Harvard University. Bates was born in Brooklyn, New York
and received his bachelor degree at Harvard in 1964,
following his education with a Ph.D. from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1969. He has
written and published many books as well as serving as an
active member of the African Studies Association.
Cathy Lanier is the chief of the Metropolitan Police
Department of the District of Columbia. She was
appointed by Washington, D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty in
2007 and is the first woman to achieve this position.
Her experience with policing the Washington, D.C. area
has allowed her to gain extensive knowledge with
protests and the laws which surround them.
Dive into the “Protest Etiquette in the United States” educational
session to correctly understand the modern laws of protesting in
America. This session will take you through various concepts such
as dealing with police enforcement, handling private property and
permits, and distributing various protest elements. Join us to stay
informed and be knowledgeable about protesting in the United
States.

15. Tips to Properly Politically Persuade
Nate Silver is an American statician and writer who
analyzes baseball and elections. He is the editor-in-chief
of ESPN’s FiveThirtyEight blog and a correspondent for
ABC News. In 2012 Silver was voted one of the Top
Underdog Persuaders by Forbes Magazine In the 2008
presidential elections, Silver correctly predicted 49 of the
50 states, winning the attention of politicians and
analysts around the world. The East Lansing, Michigan
native changed the way people analyze political polling
around the world.

The “Tips to Properly Politically Persuade” educational session will
highlight every aspect of the key to persuasion. American statician
and writer Nate Silver will guide you through the basics of
persuasion, as well as simple strategies, major incentives, and the
use of personal skills to powerfully persuade. Learn to utilize each
and every concept that will persuade your audience to take action,
speak up, or speak out!

The Smithsonian: The Luce Foundation Center for American Art,

Dolk
Blek le Rat
Banksy is a United-Kingdom based graffiti artist, political activist,
and painter that is known for his satirical street art and contempt
of the government. His art features political and social themes such
as anti-war, anti-fascism, anti-capitalism, and existentialism.
Dolk is Norway’s most recognized graffiti artist. His work features
pop-cultural references in a humoristic or critical context. Dolk’s
work has been seen around the world in places like Barcelona,
Stockholm, London, Prague, and Melbourne.
Blek le Rat is a Paris native and has been described as the “father
of stencil graffiti”. His work normally features rats as he believes
that rats are the only free animal in the city.

19. Hosted at Ford’s Theater, Freedom’s Song has transformed Abraham
Lincoln’s legendary tale into an epic musical, influenced by letters written by
the men and women who lived through the Civil War. The unforgettable
President Lincoln is brought into this whimsical story by his powerful words
interjected with the letters, taking a broken country and turning it into an,
once again, undivided union. This 90-minute production is recommended for
ages 10 and older.
Ford’s Theater is located at 511 10th
Street NW, Washington D.C., 20004. Buses
will be provided as transportation and will be outside of the Marriott Marquis
at 6:30. Buses will be departing promptly at 6:45pm. However, Ford’s
Theater is only an 11 minute walk down 10th
Street if you prefer to walk.
