Born in Terni, Italy, Elisabetta received a
Doctorate of Pedagogy from the University of
Perugia and attended the KOEFIA Academy of
Haute Couture in Rome. Her experience at the
Pietro Vannucci Fine Arts Academy and her
studies at the Japanese Akane Kai textiles and
at a Sumi-E Kawaii Art School in Los Angeles
have served as inspiration for her collection
colors, custom prints and signature fabrics.
Elisabetta began her career as an image
maker, designing and styling for Herb Ritts,
George Hurrell, Michael Bay, Hiro, Matthew
Rolston, Greg Gorman and Melvin Sokosky.
The rst designer for BCBG, she has long
driven Eurocentric trends in American fashion.
It was at the prompting of her celebrity
clientele that she began her couture tness
collection - they wanted the elegance of the
red carpet translated into their active everyday
lives.
