The Alternative Energy is designed to introduce you to the whole area of energy sustainability,
climate change and renewable energy technologies. With this course you will learn to design and
apply alternative energy solutions that meet society’s growing sustainable energy needs. You will
learn the connection between energy use and sustainability, how current energy use is contributing
to global climate change, the difference between renewable and non-renewable energy sources,
how to identify and distinguish between different forms of renewable energy, and more.
Assessment
This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to
complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can
write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers
are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
Certification
