Starting is not an issue. First off, take stock of your personal balance sheet. That is to
say make a list of your assets and liabilities. Put down on paper (or use a computer) all
your income streams on the one side and all your expenses and liabilities (including
debt and debt payments) on the other. Make it as detailed as possible.
Once you have that figured out take a look at your expenses and see which ones you
can get rid of. For example, that $20 latte can be taken off right? If you can stick to just
regular coffee for $5 then you can put that remaining $15 to better use such as paying
down your debt.
Let’s face it you will have a couple of debt to your name especially if you have credit
cards. What you want to do is pay it off as soon as you can. Cutting down on expenses
and using the savings to pay it off is one way.

at lower rates monthly.
Create a budget. This way you can track the money that is coming in and those that are
going out. Try to stick with the budget as much as you can but be flexible because life
can be unpredictable.
Set financial goals with a clear number and time frame. This way you know your
deadlines and can move to set aside money for such goals. For example you can say
you want to be able to save $500,000 to buy a small house in two years. As long as you
can quantify it and it is doable then you will be on your way to saving up for it.
