How to get to Prague
Czech Airlines and Delta Airlines fly direct to Prague daily
from JFK in New York. Many other airlines serve the city via
connections in Europe and one-stops can be cheaper. A recent
online search found nonstop round-trip prices from New York
in October to cost from $1,100 to $1,300.
A taxi from Vaclav Havel Airport Prague takes about 40
minutes to the city center and costs about 400 koruna or $20 at
the current exchange rate.
You can also easily take public transportation as bus No. 119
departs from just outside the arrivals lounge. This bus takes
you to Dejvicka (final stop) from where you can hop on the
clean and safe metro. If you prefer to see the city from above
ground, you can also take a tram to the centre from here. The
full price for the bus, tram / metro is only 32 Czech crowns.
