This course will consolidate
and expand on your knowledge
of Ethernet. Through a
combination of theory and
hands-on exercises you will

empowered to implement and
support it.

Knowledge in networking is
required. “Moxa Industrial Ethernet
Foundation” (IES-F1) course is
recommended.
INDUSTRIAL ETHERNET
FOUNDATION
IES-F1
This course will guide
you through the technical
fundamentals of the Ethernet
LAN communication protocol,
while exploring the critical
role Ethernet has played in
the progression of industrial
networking.

No previous knowledge of Industrial
Ethernet is required.
LAYER 3 NETWORKING
IES-L3
This course will extend your
knowledge of the Layer 2
switched LAN to a Layer 3
routed network. Through a
combination of theory and
hands-on exercises you will
learn to control communication
through routers and firewalls.
Explore the risks of cyber-threat
to your local LAN and how to
protect it. Implement remote
access solutions and mitigate
risk through monitoring and
network management.

Moxa “Layer 2 Networking” (IES-L2)
course or extended knowledge in
Layer 2 networking is required.
INDUSTRIAL WIRELESS
IES-W1
This course will guide
you through the technical
fundamentals and features of
wireless networking. Through
a combination of theory and
hands-on exercises you will
learn how to deploy secure
WiFi solutions within industrial
environments. You will learn
how to extend wired networks
across wireless bridges and
also how to securely access
your wired LANs using wireless
access methods.

Knowledge in basic networking
is required, based on long
experiences in the field or previous
attendance of the Moxa “Layer 2
Networking” (IES-L2) course.
