5. Chuck May, Partner
Chuck May is an executive with twenty-five years of
experience in financial and business management. For
sixteen years, he provided personal financial
management services to high net worth individuals and
entrepreneurs, including founders of public
companies. This activity led him into assisting many of
his clients in the procurement of capital for their hyper-
growth companies. He soon recognized the need in the
marketplace for consultants who did more than just
"shop" a business plan. Over several years, he
developed and perfected a proprietary strategy and
process for identifying and securing all of the resources
needed to survive and metabolize hyper-growth,
including capital. Since 1989, he has assisted many
clients through utilization of these proprietary
strategies and processes.
Chuck is active with many of the non-profit
organizations serving the entrepreneurial communities
of Dallas and Texas. He serves on the Founding Board of
Directors of CEO Link and for much of the last decade
was a leader in TeXChange completing his term as
Statewide Chairman in 2009 preceded by two years as
President of the Dallas Chapter. He has also been
actively involved with Entrepreneurs For North
Texas who recognized C5 Partners (a firm founded by
Chuck) with its “Spirit of Entrepreneurship North Star
Recognition” in 2006. In March 2013, the North Texas
RCIC retained Chuck's prior consulting firm,
EXPpartners, to consult with them regarding their
Strategic Plan.
Chuck holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of
Dallas, and a M.S. in Financial Services from the
American College.
Ken Farrell, Partner
Ken Farrell is a proven business leader with a
successful track record in Fortune 50, high growth
and start up organizations. He served as President
of CONEXIS, a health care service company,
growing them from fourteenth in size on a regional
level, to fourth on a national level. Ken founded
and led a consulting firm that provided small to
mid-size companies a proven methodology for
growth and profitability. He held senior, domestic
and international positions at Xerox Corporation in
a set of diverse functions including manufacturing,
logistics, field service, product launch, marketing
and strategic planning. In addition, Ken was a part
of the team that developed the Quality
Management process which allowed Xerox to
recover significant market share lost to foreign
competition.
Ken served as Chairman of the Board for Rae's
Hope, a non-profit organization for at-risk children
in Dallas. In addition, he was a member of the
Board of Trustees at Marymount College and
received a California gubernatorial appointment to
serve as the founding Chairman of CALQED to
promote business growth throughout the state. He
served as Chairman of the UCLA Business Extension
Leadership Program and taught courses on business
leadership and change management. Ken was
elected as a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality
Award Examiner for three consecutive years and
served as a senior examiner for two of those
years.
Ken received his B.S. in Business Administration
from the University of Rochester.
Don Osvog, Partner
Don Osvog is a senior executive, entrepreneur and
consultant who has grown businesses ranging from
"cocktail napkin" start ups to multi-billion dollar
Fortune 50 businesses in Citigroup, Norton Simon and
Nabisco Brands. He held senior roles as Chief
Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief
Executive Officer in North America and
Europe serving as a Citibank Board member in
Canada and the U.K. He has grown, acquired, turned
around and improved profitability in Fortune 50
operating divisions with full functional and P&L
responsibilities.
Over the past decade Don has led three
entrepreneurial ventures and provided guidance to
numerous start up and middle market companies. He
developed a proprietary Business Mapping process
that has proven to increase profit, improve team
performance and create time. He ultimately
founded Managed Growth LLC to help CEO's, owners,
entrepreneurs and leadership teams transform their
vision into value. Don has broad industry knowledge
including consumer products, ecommerce, utilities,
real estate development, corporate finance, IT,
financial services and professional services.
Through first hand experience with numerous
leadership and management tools and approaches,
he knows what works. He presently serves on the
DFW Kellogg School of Management Alumni Club
Board.
Don holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of
Nebraska and a M.B.A. in Strategy and
Marketing from Northwestern's Kellogg School of
Management.
