web 2.0 in 2004 through a meeting
at the American publisher O'Reilly.
In this meeting we discussed the
need to set up a congress that
would bring together all the new
technologies.

3. From this meeting was
born the web 2.0
conference, named in the
same way.

4. The web 2.0 conference has
been evolving and taking
different names, such as web
2.0 expo and web 2.0 summit.
Since 2012 it has taken the
name of Strata conference and
has been held in major cities
such as London, New York or
Boston.

6. The term web 2.0 suggests a
change in the concept of the
Internet and its functions, such
as a broad interaction between
users.
