A short field report prepare on Effect of Noise pollution on Human Health
1. Effect of Noise Pollution on Human
health
In English bazaar municipality

2. Introduction:-
• The word noise is derived from the Latin word
nausea. Noise pollution may be defined as
unwanted sound which gets damped into the
atmosphere (Subramani et al.,2012).
• Noise pollution is a major problem in India.
The government of India has rules &
regulations against firecrackers and
loudspeakers, but enforcement is extremely
lax(Central Pollution Control Board, 2015).
Numerous noise surveys treating the problem
of noise pollution in many cities throughout the
world (Peter et al., 2008).
3. • Now days in Malda town facing some
pollution problem. Among this problem Noise
pollution is highly affected. That is why we also
focus the study of Noise pollution in the
English bazaar municipality of Malda
5. Physiological Impacts of Noise pollution on
human health
• Headache
• Hearing problem,
• Lack of concentration
• Anxiety
• Sleeping disorders
• Blood pressure
• Abnormal heart beat
• Irritation
6. Study area
English bazar municipality (popularly known
as Malda town) is a developing town with good
facilities for education, medical, market for
grain and other commercial commodities.
English bazar municipality is a highly traffic
control area. For the unwanted traffic sounds
and the other sources of sounds makes noise
pollution .
7. Objective of this study:-
• To find out the impacts of noise pollution on
human health according to their age group.
• To get self-rated feelings relating to road-traffic
noise.
8. Set of hypothesis
• Those people who are living in the traffic area
they are highly effected to psychological as well
as physiological by the sound pollution rather
then residential area.
• For establish this hypothesis we used the relative
risk test,
10. • The primary data has been collected through the
directly field visit of my study area. The
questioner survey, personal interview, door to
door data collection has been done for this
purpose.
• For analysis this data we used some statistical
technique like relative risk calculation, and
simple graphical technique in MS excel 2007

16. How to reduce noise pollution
• New engine technologies.
• More efficient traffic management schemes.
• Increasing public awareness of noise by
providing factual information.
• Introducing noise zones along traffic routes and
around airports.
• Legal specification of maximum noise emission
from products.
17. Conclusion:-
• This present Term paper explores the effects and
reactions of noise pollution on human health.
After analysis above these it is clear that the
selected hypotheses is significant. Every age
group of people extremely disturbed by
increasing noise pollution. And Govt. should be
think about increasing noise pollution. In
English bazar municipality should take charge to
control the traffic system and plantation tree for
control the noise pollution.
