Cathy tells her friend Amanda that she is engaged to be married to David. Amanda is surprised but excited for her friend. They make plans for Cathy to look for her wedding dress the next day but Amanda cannot make it. On the weekend, Cathy and Amanda go dress shopping and find the perfect gown for Cathy. On the day of the wedding, everything is wonderful but Cathy and Amanda wish all their friends could be there to celebrate.

Introducción
Laura Narrator: It was just one more day in the lives of the majority of people, some were
working; others at school and some others were completely sad or even angry. But,
for Cathy it was different; it was the best day of her life and she was about to tell her
best friend the good news. She was so anxiously waiting for Amanda at the café
that she screamed when she saw her.

Dulce Cathy: Amanda, I just can´t believe it! What do you think it has happened to me?
Diana Amanda: I´m sorry Cathy but if I knew it, I wouldn´t be here right now, so don´t
make me wait anymore and explain to me.
Dulce Cathy: Come on, just try it! If you have paid attention to me, and to that specific
thing I´ve always wanted since I first met David, you could understand what I´m
talking about.
Laura Narrator: Amanda started to think so intrigued, and after a while she screamed.
Efecto: Fanfarria (3 segundos)
Diana Amanda: Oh my God! Are you getting married to David?
Dulce Cathy: Yes! Isn´t it fantastic? He has proposed it to me!
Efecto: Exclamations of excitement (4 segundos)
Laura Narrator: It was such the commotion of both Cathy and Amanda that If any
strange person could have seen them, they wouldn´t have known who the
bride was. The two friends were so excited that just couldn´t help hugging and
kissing each other. After some minutes of extreme allegory, Amanda asked.
Diana Amanda: And when are you planning the wedding?
Laura Cathy: Well, I´ve dreamed all my life with getting married in a garden, with beautiful
flowers and warm weather, so it could be the next summer.
Diana Amanda: Oh, that´s great! We still have some time to prepare the sweetest and
most wonderful ceremony ever seen before. I can help you to look for the dress, the
church, the ballroom, the….. of course, I´m going to be your bridesmaid right?
Dulce Cathy: Of course you are my bridesmaid. How could you not be my bridesmaid,
if you are my best friend since we were in kinder garden? Actually, the first
thing I need you to do is to come along with me tomorrow and look for my wedding
dress. It is high time I got one.
Diana Amanda: Oh I´m so sorry darling! I wish I had time, but tomorrow I´ll be flat out at
work all day. Could it be at weekend?
Dulce Cathy: Oh ok don’t worry. I understand. If only I had more time to prepare my
wedding….

2. Efecto: Melancholic music (15 segundos)
Laura Narrator: The two women left the café after that. Cathy was actually a bit sad
because her friend couldn´t go the next day with her, but it was just for a moment.
Since it was going to be the most important day of her life, she knew she had
to be happy. The following weekend Cathy and Amanda went to the most
famous and recognized wedding dress store in the U.S.A.
Diana Amanda: Do you know what kind of gown would you like to buy? I mean, do you
want a modern one or just a classic?
Dulce Cathy: Well, I want something discrete but stylish, and perhaps a long queue with
nice applications, but to be sincere…I would have liked to wear my mom’s
wedding dress it was really gorgeous. Unfortunately, she sold it in a garage sale.
Efecto: Boing (2 segundos)
Diana Amanda: Oh!! That would have been perfect!! But don’t worry we’re going to find
something similar or better!! You can be sure of that!! (She laughs in a discrete way)
You should try on that dress on the corner!!
Dulce Cathy: Yes, it looks amazing!! But also I’ll try that sleeveless and the other one with
the long veil.
Diana Amanda: David will be really astonished when he sees how well you look!! That
gown is just perfect for you!!

Laura Narrator: After hours of trying on some dresses, they chose the high heels, the
hairstyle, the make up, the bouquet and the accessories for the awaited day. Finally,
the day came…
Efecto: Minoe (8 segundos)
Dulce Cathy: Wow!! This is more wonderful than I expected, but everything would have
been perfect if all our friends were here!!!
Laura Narrator: Everything in the wedding was awesome, the guests were having fun and
all the trimmings were breathtaking, however; there was someone who was thinking
nostalgically about the outstanding party…
Diana Amanda: Oh! This is like fairy tale if only I could have a wedding like this… it
would be like a dream come true
