we have already forwarded details of all the employees working in our office as required by
your good office.
However, it is hereby bring to your kind notice that our "FOOD CORPORATION OF
INDIA" department is being associated with Food-Chain Supply Management through PDS,
hence if Officers/Officials from our Organization shall be engaged with election work; then
Public Distribution System offood grain under 3 Revenue Districts viz. Jamnagar, Devbhoomi
Dwarka & Porbandar will be thoroughly disturbed/hampered.
Further, at present foodgrain under PMGKAY (Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Ann
Yojana) scheme is going on at full swing.

~(ust8, :lJ~~lct. wherein as per point no. 20 on page no. 4 & serial no. 7 on page no. 5; it is
mentioned that employees and officers of FOOD CORPORATION OF INDIA are not to be
posted for election duty.
Also enclosed is a letter/Notification no. 20-9/2014-FC-I dated 03/03/2022 &
letter/Notification no. S-11017/5/91-IR(PL) dated 25/02/2022 vide which Ministry of Labour &
Employment, Government of India has declared Food Corporation of India as "Public Utility
Service" for the period of 06 months from 28/02/2022 under section 2(n)(vi) of the Industrial
Disputes Act,1947. The Corporation is also coming under the ambit of Essential Service
Maintenance Act, 1968.
