3. Part 1: How to Help your
Student Prepare:
O Use the “teach back” method while you
are creating the project and/or
presentation poster.
O For example:
O Ask the student how they would explain the
concepts related to their projects in their
own words
O Have your student practice answering
questions
4. Project Presentation
O If your project is an object (such as a
piece of artwork) or will be shown on the
computer, we recommend that you create
a poster board as well to:
O Draw people to your booth
O Help explain the process to create the final
product of the student’s project
O Have visuals for visitors to ask questions
about (which is very helpful for shy
students)
5. Examples of Computer Based
Projects
This pair created a poster board and projected the computer game
they created on the wall, to share the project with the audience
10. Booth Presentation
O Bring decorations: whether it is glitter,
balloons, steamers, related articles to the
students projects, and business cards and
pamphlets.
O Handouts are also a great way to share
the knowledge the student gained during
their apprenticeship with the event
attendees.
