chances of any big event are not beyond possibility.
During all these events India has played a completely neutral
role in terms of supporting any side. Moreover our country has
been offered good discount and better deals for Oil purchases
from Russia.
Whatever said and done, India is in a Sweet Spot as of now.

MEASURED IN HOW FAR
YOU CAN GO AND NOT THE
NUMBER OF BIG WINS IN A
SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME.
Despite the war crisis in Ukraine and multiple global tensions,
NIFTY grew by 5.17% ! This is certainly a very strong indicator
that year ahead is good for India and Indian equity market.
As a layman investor you should simply be bothered about
inflation and nothing else. Because on economy front we are
doing quite well in terms of GST collections, credit growth and
Make in India progress. Hence you would have seen a nice built
up in the price of banking stocks, Infrastructure related stock and
even midcap / smallcap categories. All these categories have
grown around 10% in March (almost 2 times of NIFTY).
Check the respective Mutual Fund categories performance as

ESG funds are portfolios of equities and/or bonds for which
environmental, social and governance factors have been
integrated into the investment process. This means the
equities and bonds contained in the fund have passed
stringent tests over how sustainable the company or
government is regarding its ESG criteria.
India will get its non-fossil energy capacity to 500
gigawatt (GW) by 2030
India will meet 50 per cent of its energy requirements
from renewable energy by 2030
India will reduce the total projected carbon emissions
by one billion tonnes from now onwards till 2030
By 2030, India will reduce the carbon intensity of its
economy by less than 45 per cent
So, by the year 2070, India will achieve the target of
Net Zero
India’s commitment to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2070
is akin to not just walking the talk on the climate crisis, but
running the talk.
At the 26th Conference of Parties (CoP26), Indian Prime
Minister Narendra Modi declared a five-fold strategy —
termed as the panchamrita — to achieve this feat. These
five points include:

When Mr. Rajeev first realized the pain of income tax in his salaries,
at the age of 37, he did not know any tax saving option other than
PPF. Being a well learned and educated engineer he was aware
about the cost an impact of inflation. Hence he was not contended
with a return of 8% which would not beat the inflation. He was
clearly looking at creating his ambitious retirement kitty through a
little higher return than the inflation.
Hence, he searched for various options under the higher risk reward
categories such equity linked saving schemes called ELSS Funds.
Mr. Rajeev realized risk reward advantage in ELSS and decided to
save his annual tax planning portion into ELSS.
By doing so he achieved both his targets - to save tax under Sec
80C and also to create a better retirement corpus for his future. He
opened SIP of Rs. 6250/- per month in Two different ELSS
schemes.
See the phenomenal reward for Mr. Rajeev Arora after 15 Years of
his investments in ELSS (See the table below) :

What is ELSS Funds ?
An ELSS fund or an equity-linked
savings scheme is the only kind of
mutual funds eligible for tax deductions
under the provisions of Section 80C of
the Income Tax Act, 1961. You can
claim a tax rebate of up to Rs 1,50,000
and save up to Rs 46,800 a year in
taxes by investing in ELSS mutual
funds.
ELSS mutual funds’ asset allocation is
mostly (65% of the portfolio) made
towards equity and equity-linked
securities such as listed shares. They
may have some exposure to fixed-
income securities as well. These funds
come with a lock-in period of just three
years, the shortest among all Section
80C investments.
As you can see in the table above, Rajeev's Total Investment of Rs. 22,50,000 has almost grown to 3.5 times in 15
years as against a traditional tax saving product, where it would have grown by only 1.5 times.
Note : The above table of projected figure is based on the current fund performance. There is no guarantee that it will be
repeated in future also. Investor should choose the route of ELSS after evaluating their risk suitability in Equity Funds.
Rajeev will continue the same SIP
as he also has an objective to
create Retirement Corpus along
with Tax Savings. We have done
some calculation, If he continue his
SIP for next 5 years, till his Age of
57 years his Retirement corpus will
grow as per the table given aside.
